Schuiteman retires as Unity Christian girls basketball coach

Unity Christian High School announced on Thursday that Jay Schuiteman is retiring from coaching. Schuiteman served as Unity’s head girls basketball coach for 24 years, and for 3 years as an assistant. He led the Knights to 7 state tournament appearances, and 3 state titles.

From Coach Schuiteman, “It has been an honor to lead the program and represent Unity girls basketball. I feel like the time is right to retire from coaching and allow a new coach to lead this program. I am excited to encourage the new coaching staff!”

Unity has announced that Coach Jon Holwerda will be taking the Head Girls Basketball Coaching position.
