Raiders Named All-Region

After helping the Red Raiders to a program-record 47 wins, Northwestern College softball players Kameryn Etherington and Gwen Mikkelsen have received National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors.

Etherington, a junior from Algona, recorded a 21-7 record in the circle with a 2.38 ERA. At the plate, she belted nine homeruns and drove in 50.

Mikkelsen, a junior from Casa Grande, Arizona, led the GPAC with a .445 batting average, .522 on-base percentage, 59 RBI and 20 doubles. She previously was named the GPAC Player-of-the-Year.
