Jacobsma Named to Athletic Staff

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College has announced the hiring of Dalton Jacobsma as its graduate assistant for athletic performance.

“I am ready and excited to bring a championship standard of training to Northwestern’s athletic performance department,” Jacobsma commented.

Jacobsma brings valuable experience into his role on Kyle Ochsner’s staff, holding over 600 hours in the weight room with teams at Northwestern and South Dakota State University, completing two internships at SDSU during his collegiate years.

“I’m truly excited to have Dalton as a contributing member of our athletic performance team,” Director of Athletic Performance Kyle Ochsner said. “Dalton demonstrates a significant and exceptional amount of quality experience for someone his age. He is truly a rising star in the strength and conditioning profession, and we are blessed to have him for the next couple of years.”

Jacobsma was a four-year member of the Red Raider football program, where he totaled 37 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one pass breakup.

Over the next two years, Jacobsma will work toward a master’s degree in sports administration and coaching at Liberty University.

Hailing from Orange City, Jacobsma earned his degree in exercise science from Northwestern in December.
