Raiders Headed to Indiana for Nationals; Dordt Women to Host

The Dordt Women’s Basketball team found out last week they would be a host for the first and second rounds of the NAIA National Tournament. Now the Northwestern Women have learned that not only will their season continue, but it will continue in Marion, Indiana as the NAIA announced its 64-team field tonight.

Northwestern is seeded 9th in the Cramer Quadrant and will play 8th seeded Rio Grande(OH) next Friday afternoon at 1:30 Central Time at Indiana Wesleyan University. The winner will get either number one ranked IWU or Fisk(TN) on Saturday afternoon at 2pm Central for the right to advance to the final 16 in Sioux City.

Second ranked Dordt is the top seed in the Liston Quadrant and hosts 16th seeded Oakland City(IN) in the first round next Friday at 7pm. The first match in Sioux Center Friday will be 8th seeded Langston(OK) against 9th seeded Spring Arbor(MI) at 5pm. Like the other sites, the two winners play Saturday. Saturday’s tip off is schedule for 6pm.

GPAC tournament runner-up Concordia will play host to Benedictine(KS) next week. Briar Cliff faces Mid-America Christian(OK) in Wichita, Dakota Wesleyan meets Rust(MS) in Dubuque at Clarke University and Jamestown is in Lewiston, Idaho, to play The Master’s(CA).
