DaksDominoes Capture 3rd Guinness World Record with 9,262 Mini Dominoes

DaksDominoes have added another Guinness World Record to their growing résumé.

Derek and Alex Koops set the world record for the most mini dominoes toppled in a single run, knocking down 9,262 miniature dominoes in one successful attempt.

Speaking on The Daily Grind, the Koops brothers say that the pieces were so small that they couldn’t even place them by hand.

The setup alone took roughly three and a half to four weeks. Because of accidental collapses along the way, they estimate they actually placed closer to 15,000 dominoes during the process.

When it came time for the topple, there was no room for error.

If the chain reaction stalled mid-run, they would have had to rebuild the entire project from scratch.

The mini domino mark gives DaksDominoes three Guinness World Records overall. Their previous records include the longest domino wall, which was a three-foot-tall wall stretching 150 feet around a gym using more than 55,000 dominoes, and the tallest two-dimensional domino pyramid, which stood about 10 feet tall and was designed to resemble a giant slice of pizza.

The application process began months earlier and required detailed video documentation, strict counting procedures, and certified local witnesses to verify the attempt.

DaksDominoes previously won FOX’s Domino Masters and later appeared on America’s Got Talent.

Looking ahead, DaksDominoes plans to travel to Michigan this summer for another large-scale team build, where they may attempt either the largest domino pyramid or the largest domino cube.

Guinness certification for the mini domino record is currently being finalized. See pictures below…
