(Sioux City, Iowa) – Northwestern College totaled 120 points and are the preseason coaches’ selection to win the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball Championship. The Red Raiders tallied 10 first place votes.
Midland was picked second with 110 points and one first place vote, while Dordt had the other first place vote and was third with 94 points. Morningside and Concordia rounded out the top five with 89 and 84 points respectively.
In 2024 Northwestern claimed the regular season championship. The Red Raiders went 19-3 in league play and 43-5 overall. Northwestern also won the conference tournament title, defeating Midland 3-0 and 1-0 in the best of three series.
