A Hull man faces two misdemeanor charges after authorities investigated allegations of unwanted sexual contact involving a minor.
Tracy Paul Weidner, 58, was arrested by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, October 28th. He is charged with child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and lascivious conduct with a minor, a serious misdemeanor.
Investigation and Allegations
According to criminal complaints filed in Sioux County District Court, the investigation followed a report to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. A minor girl was subsequently interviewed at a Child Advocacy Center.
Investigators allege Weidner climbed into the girl’s bed, pressed his body against hers, and touched her upper and inner thigh for a sexual purpose. The girl reported feeling extremely uncomfortable and repeatedly telling him to get off her and leave her bedroom, according to the complaints.
Court documents state that, during an interview after being advised of his rights, Weidner acknowledged lying on the bed with the girl and touching her leg.
The lascivious conduct complaint alleges Weidner was in a position of authority over the minor. The child endangerment complaint alleges his conduct created a substantial risk to her mental and emotional health and safety. No physical injury was reported.
The complaints list an alleged incident window between April 1st, 2025, and October 23rd, 2026, at a residence in Hull. They do not identify an exact date of the incident.
Bond and Release
Jail records show Weidner’s bond was set at $5,000, cash or surety. He was released through a bondsman on Thursday, October 29th.
