Republican gubernatorial candidate Randy Feenstra held his final “Rally with Randy” campaign stop Monday night at the Pizza Ranch in his hometown of Hull, ahead of today’s Republican primary election.

Organizers say that more than 80 supporters packed the restaurant to hear from Feenstra and offer encouragement as the campaign enters its final stretch before voting begins Tuesday.

Feenstra’s wife, Lynette, opened the evening by sharing the story of how the couple first met while working together at the Hull Pizza Ranch — something they refer to as their “Pizza Ranch Romance.”

Feenstra later thanked family, friends, neighbors, and supporters for their continued encouragement and prayers throughout the campaign. He told the crowd he wants to protect Iowa’s way of life while helping rural communities and small towns continue to grow and thrive.

Feenstra also highlighted that he is the only candidate in the Republican gubernatorial race to receive President Donald Trump’s “complete and total endorsement” for governor.

During the event, Feenstra outlined several priorities he says would shape his administration if elected governor.

“I’m running for Governor to make life more affordable for Iowans, protect our way of life, and take our state to new heights. We will cut and freeze property taxes, make Iowa the most business- and ag-friendly state in the country, deliver world-class education for our kids, keep our kids in Iowa with great jobs, and make high-quality healthcare affordable and accessible for all Iowans. As Governor, I will be laser-focused on delivering real results for Iowa and building a stronger state for the next generation,” Feenstra said.

Feenstra closed the event by encouraging supporters to get out and vote in Tuesday’s Republican primary election, saying he wants to “keep Iowa red and take our state to new heights.”
