President Donald Trump has given Congressman Randy Feenstra his “Complete and Total Endorsement” in Iowa’s Republican race for governor.
In a statement released today, Trump praised Feenstra as a “Highly Respected American First Congressman” and highlighted his support for Trump-backed policies on taxes, energy, border security, agriculture, law enforcement, and election integrity.
Trump wrote that Feenstra “has delivered strong results for the Hawkeye State” and called him a strong supporter of the MAGA movement.
The endorsement comes as Feenstra continues building support in the Republican primary field to replace outgoing Governor Kim Reynolds.
Trump’s Endorsement
In the endorsement message posted on social media, President Trump pointed to Feenstra’s background as a businessman, former Sioux County Treasurer, state senator, and member of Congress.
Trump said Feenstra would work to grow the economy, reduce taxes and regulations, support ethanol and agriculture, strengthen border security, and defend Second Amendment rights.
Trump concluded the endorsement by saying:

Feenstra Responds
Feenstra said he was honored to receive the endorsement from President Trump.
Feenstra also highlighted his work with the president on border security, immigration enforcement, and tax policy.
He said that, if elected governor, he plans to continue supporting President Trump’s “America First ” agenda in Iowa.
Relationship with President Trump
Feenstra has frequently appeared alongside President Trump during campaign events and official visits over the past several years.
He’s also traveled aboard Air Force One with the president on multiple occasions during visits to Iowa. Most notably, Feenstra flew with President Trump to and from Iowa during a July 2025 visit and again during a January 2026 trip, later receiving official certification recognizing the flights aboard the presidential aircraft.
Republican Primary Race
Feenstra is one of several Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for governor following Governor Kim Reynolds’ decision not to seek another term.
The endorsement from President Trump adds to a growing list of high-profile Republicans backing Feenstra’s campaign, including former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad.
