A traffic stop in Sioux Center led authorities to arrest an Orange City man over the weekend. 39-year-old Timothy Droog of Orange City was stopped for a traffic violation on 16th Street Southwest Saturday evening shortly after 7:30.
During the investigation, a Sioux County Sheriff’s deputy determined Droog’s driver’s license was invalid and then discovered a controlled substance, drug scales and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
Droog was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, failure to affix a drug tax stamp and operating a motor vehicle with a barred driver’s license.
Droog is being held in the Sioux County Jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
