The Iowa Hawkeye football team continues preparations for the start of the season. Former BHRV standout Landyn Van Kekerix is one of the former Northwest Iowa players on this years team. Van Kekerix is excited to be back on the field.
Van Kekerix is a Junior this year, and says he had to deal with some injuries previously and is hoping to contribute any way he can this year.
He says it’s been fun to play with several other former Northwest Iowa athletes like Reece Vander Zee, and Zach Lutmer from CL/GLR, and Dylan Stecker from Spirit Lake.
He’s looking forward to the start of the season. The Hawkeye’s kick off against Albany on August 30th.
