Schany’s Picks Up GPAC Player of the Week Award

Northwestern women’s basketball forward Molly Schany has been selected as this week’s GPAC Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

Schany, a senior from Emmetsburg, Iowa) collected her seventh and eighth double-doubles of the season in a pair of wins for the Raiders. In Wednesday’s thriller at Morningside, she scored 21 points and had 15 boards, getting eight of her rebounds on the offensive glass. In Saturday’s home win over Doane, she went for 20 points and 13 rebounds.

This week’s award marks the second time that Schany has been selected as a GPAC Player of the Week. Schany is second in the GPAC in scoring (21.1) and rebounding (11.2).
