Schany and Sievers GPAC Womens basketball players of the week

Molly Schany of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Schany, a senior from Emmetsburg, Iowa, had a pair double-doubles on the weekend, scoring 28 points in each outing. She had 28 points and 13 rebounds in Friday’s win over College of the Ozarks, and added 28 points and 11 boards in Saturday’s top-20 matchup with Grand View

Macy Sievers of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Sievers, a junior from Storm Lake, Iowa, averaged eight defensive rebounds per game to go along with 4.5 steals per contest in a pair of Dordt wins. Her defensive efforts helped the Defenders limit opponents to 63.5 points per game.
