Raider Kralik Nabs Weekly Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern softball pitcher Kate Kralik has been selected the GPAC Pitcher of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

“Kate has worked really hard physically and mentally to be the best she can be,” head coach Shane Boumann commented. “We are so proud of her and glad that she is a Red Raider.”

Kralik notched three wins in the circle last week as Northwestern went 4-0 as a team. The senior from Indianola, Iowa struck out 15 batters and did not allow an earned run. On the week, Kralik threw two complete games.

She is Northwestern’s second GPAC athlete of the week this season, joining Ellie Jacobson who won the award on February 19.

Among GPAC pitchers, Kralik is second in wins (10), tied for second in strikeouts (73) and is fifth in ERA (2.41).

The Raiders continue GPAC play this weekend, scheduled to host Midland on Friday and Mount Marty on Saturday.
