Kralik named GPAC Softball pitcher of the week

Northwestern softball pitcher Kate Kralik has been selected as this week’s GPAC Pitcher of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

“Kate has started to be very consistent and give us an opportunity to win every time she enters the circle,” head coach Shane Bouman commented. “We feel that she can be as good as anyone in the country.”

In her three appearances last week, Kralik went 2-0 with two complete games and one run allowed. She struck out 15 batters and punched out nine in a complete-game shutout at College of Saint Mary on Saturday.

It marks the second time this season that Kralik has been selected as the GPAC Pitcher of the Week.

Kralik is the GPAC leader in wins (15), is second in strikeouts (100), and is third in ERA (1.99).

The Raiders are back home on Saturday, hosting Concordia (Neb.) at 1:00 p.m.
