Dykstra Earns GPAC Honor

After opening spring break with a no-hitter, Northwestern’s Drew Dykstra has been named the GPAC Pitcher-of-the-Week. The senior from Urbandale struck out eight in a 2-0 win over Cornerstone(MI) on March 3rd. It was the first no-hitter thrown by a Raider pitcher in 11 years.

Dykstra followed up that performance with a two hitter March 8th against Trinity Baptist(FL) in a 7-1 victory. He fanned nine batters in that game.

This marks the second career GPAC Pitcher-of-the-Week honor for Dykstra. He currently leads the GPAC with a 0.31 ERA and 35 strikeouts.
