Mya Cole of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Cole, a sophomore from Rapid City, South Dakota, was effective on both sides of the pitch, leading the Raider back line in a pair of shutout wins. On Wednesday, she put the Raiders ahead 1-0 with a free kick blast for her first career goal. Cole followed it up with an assist to Aliza Edwards for the game-winning goal in Friday’s 1-0 win over Bethel.
