KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With one release remaining in the regular season, there was a shake up at the top of the NAIA Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. LSU Alexandria (La.) claims the No. 1 ranking. Georgetown (Ky.) followed in second, with College of Idaho, Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), and Arizona Christian rounding out the first five spots.
Dordt continues to be the highest ranked GPAC team. The Conference leading Defenders halost just twice this season, and move up a spot to number 7 this week. Despite a loss to Northwestern last week, Concordia moved up one spot in the rankings to number 12, and the Red Raider men’s basketball team moved up three spots to No. 13. Northwestern went 1-1 against two top-15 teams last week, picking up an 87-70 win over then-No. 13 Concordia at home. A fourth GPAC team, Morningside is receiving votes.
