Promise Community Health Center has been named the 2025 Communicators of the Year by the Iowa Primary Care Association.
The award honors a community health center that demonstrates outstanding storytelling and outreach across social media, patient communication, and other engagement efforts that reflect the heart of community health.
This year’s award highlights the work of Promise’s marketing team, led by Director of Marketing Kris Gesink and Marketing Coordinator Neftali Ramirez.
Gesink says it’s a significant honor, especially given the strong field of competition statewide.
According to Gesink, this is only the third year that the Iowa Primary Care Association has handed out this particular award.
Gesink says it’s easy to tell Promise’s story because of the people behind it.
Promise says its communication efforts focus on both connection and information, ensuring that patients’ needs and stories remain at the center of its message.
