The Dutch American Heritage Museum will launch its summer “Nights at the Museum” series later this month with a presentation from Orange City native and Tony Award-nominated actress Cora Vander Broek.
Vander Broek will speak Tuesday, June 23, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum in Orange City. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Now based in Los Angeles, Vander Broek is expected to share stories from her career in acting, writing, and filmmaking during the event. Organizers say the presentation will focus on her experiences in the entertainment industry and her journey from northwest Iowa to Broadway, television, and film.
Broadway and Television Career
A 1996 graduate of MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District and a 2000 graduate of Northwestern College, Vander Broek has spent more than 25 years working professionally in entertainment.
She earned a 2020 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role in the Broadway production of Linda Vista.
Her television credits also include a recurring role on the Netflix series Grace and Frankie.
In addition to acting, Vander Broek is making her feature film directorial debut with the upcoming psychological horror film “Method,” which she co-wrote and stars in.
