On Monday, December 25, at 7:54 pm, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 60, one mile south of Alton.
31-year old Idris Hussein of Blaine, MN, was driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited southbound on Highway 60 when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, entered the northbound lane and struck a guardrail.
No injuries were reported.
The Jeep sustained approximately $15,000 in damage; damage to the guardrail was estimated at $5,000.
Hussein was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
