Soybeans, corn, wheat see more weather support

Soybeans were sharply higher on speculative and technical buying. More U.S. planting delays are probable as parts of the Midwest will see another round of rain early this week. That could include severe weather in parts of the region. The USDA says 25% of U.S. soybeans are planted, compared to 30% a year ago and the five-year average of 21%, with 9% emerged, compared to 4% on average. Heavy rain and flooding are impacting harvest in southern Brazil and Argentina.
