The EPA administrator assured members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works of more regulatory certainty for biofuels.
During a hearing this morning, Michael Regan said his agency has been working to satisfy a petition for year-round E15 from eight Midwestern states.
“That gives those states a level of certainty for future investments to up that production of biofuels so that we can continue to keep our prices low but be globally competitive.”
Michigan Democrat Debbie Stabenow suggested expanded use of biofuels will help reduce prices for consumers, benefit the environment, and support jobs in rural America.
