Rain affecting ag transportation

Parts of the inland waterway system have gone from low water to mild flooding.  Mike Steenhoek with the Soy Transportation Coalition tells Brownfield having too much water also affects barge traffic. “You really need to make sure that when the current picks up and it can become more turbulent, that you don’t lose control of that vessel.”

Steenhoek says some of the barge companies are using fewer barges in a tow in some areas.
