Kentucky crops: 46% corn, 33% soybeans planted

Kentucky farmers were able to make decent planting progress despite widespread rains. 

Corn is 46 percent planted, and 25 percent has emerged.  Soybeans are 33 percent planted, and 7 percent emerged.  Tobacco is 2 percent set. 

Winter wheat is 66 percent headed, with 91 percent of the crop rated good to excellent. 

Pastures are rated 79 percent good to excellent.  Warmer weather and precipitation has helped spur forage growth.
