IL Congresswoman excited by growing “bio-economy”

An Illinois Congresswoman says she’s seeing more opportunities to grow demand for Illinois corn and soybeans.

Nikki Budzinski, who represents the 13th district, told reporters at the National Association of Farm Broadcasting’s Washington Watch…

“One of the things I’m incredibly excited about is the development of really a bioeconomy, a bio industry, that is foundational and based on our corn and soybean growers in central and southern Illinois,” she says.

She says much of that opportunity involves expanding biofuels markets.
