SHELDON, Iowa – Northwest Iowa Community College is proud to announce that 22 student-athletes have been recognized by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) as Academic All-Region selections for the 2025-26 academic year, highlighting their commitment to excellence both in the classroom and in competition.
The Academic All-Region honors recognize student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement while successfully balancing the demands of collegiate athletics. Student-athletes from all sports are eligible each semester for consideration.
To earn First Team Academic All-Region honors, student-athletes must achieve a grade point average (GPA) between 3.50 and 4.00. Second Team Academic All-Region honorees earn a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49. Student-athletes may qualify using either their cumulative GPA or semester GPA, whichever is higher. Additionally, all honorees must meet the minimum credit-hour requirements for NJCAA eligibility.
“These student-athletes have demonstrated tremendous dedication to both their academic studies and their athletic pursuits,” said Eric Francis, Athletic Director at Northwest Iowa Community College. “Their success reflects the hard work, discipline, and commitment that we strive to develop in all NCC students.
