Mauldin is GPAC Men’s track athlete-of-the-week

Dordt University’s Payton Mauldin is this week’s GPAC Men’s track athlete-of-the-week. Mauldin, a senior from George, Iowa, won two events and finished as the runner-up in a third at the USD Early Bird Invite held last weekend in Vermillion, S.D. On Friday, Mauldin took first place and hit the ‘A standard with a time of 1:51.06, the No.2 time in the NAIA to date. On Saturday, Mauldin finished second in the 200m and anchored the winning 4×400 relay in the final event of the day. The Defenders 4×400 relay has the No.1 time in the GPAC.
