HASTINGS PICKED IN 2026 GPAC WOMEN’S PRESEASON SOCCER POLL

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Hastings College totaled 114 points, and was selected first, in the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Poll. The Broncos garnered seven of twelve first-place votes. Hastings was the GPAC postseason champion in 2025.

Morningside, who claimed the 2025 regular season title, was picked second with 100 points and the final five first place votes. Concordia, totaling 100, was picked third. Dordt was fourth with Doane fifth in the ballot. Dordt finished in a tie for third in the GPAC last season with Hastings going 7-2-2 in the league, and Dordt was 11-6-3 overall. The Northwestern women’s soccer team was picked ninth, with 42 points. The Red Raiders went 7-8-2 last year in their first season under head coach Vitor Pereira, finishing shy of the conference tournament field with a 3-6-2 conference mark.

The 2026 GPAC women’s soccer season schedule will consist of 11 league games as all 12 teams will compete for the conference crown.
