SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern forward Jesse Van Kalsbeek has been selected as the GPAC Men’s basketball Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.
Van Kalsbeek averaged 31.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in a pair of home wins this week. He scored 38 in Wednesday’s win over Waldorf before posting a 24-point, 15-rebound outing on Saturday against Midland.
He currently leads the NAIA in points per game (30.1) and is tied for third in the NAIA in rebounding average (12.0).
Kaden Van Regenmorter of Morningside University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Van Regenmorter, a freshman from Hull, Iowa, was had six steals in a pair of wins last week. He also piled up 15 rebounds 14 of them on the defensive end of the floor to go along with a blocked shot.
