Dordt University has announced its men’s soccer coaching staff for the 2026 season.
Tim Lee will serve as interim head coach for the 2026 season and will be assisted by Michael Catanzarite.
“Tim has shown an eagerness to work in this role for the coming season. I look forward to working with him as he grows as a coach and incorporates the Defender Way into the men’s soccer program. His energy and maturity make him ready to serve as head coach this season,” said Dordt Director of Athletics Darin Keizer.
Lee joined the Defender program as an assistant coach in January 2026 after serving as an assistant coach at LeTourneau University in Texas. He also has head coaching experience with Fredericksburg Soccer Club and Fredericksburg Christian High School in Virginia. Lee holds a United States Soccer Federation National C Coaching License and an AFC “B” Coaching Certificate. He graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in sport business management in 2022 and earned a Master of Business Administration from LeTourneau University.
Catanzarite most recently played for Adelaide Olympic FC in Australia after serving as a scouting analyst for Detroit City FC. He graduated from Cedarville University in 2025, where he played two seasons for the Yellow Jackets. Prior to Cedarville, he attended Liberty University and earned ASUN All-Freshman Team honors.
The Defender men’s soccer team opens the 2026 season on Aug. 20 against Carroll (Mont.).
