Orange City Area Home Health has been recognized among the nation’s top providers in the first-ever Best Home Health ratings released by U.S. News & World Report.
The agency, which operates as part of Orange City Area Health System, received a “High Performing” designation with an overall score of 4.25 out of 5.
The recognition comes from a new national evaluation designed to help patients and families identify high-quality home health care providers following illness, injury, or hospitalization.
Orange City Area Home Health earned strong marks in both care quality and patient satisfaction, including a perfect 5 out of 5 score in patient experience. That portion of the rating reflects feedback from patients and their families on communication, professionalism, and overall satisfaction with care.
Home Health & Hospice Manager Korrie Ewoldt says the recognition reflects the commitment of the local team.
“We are incredibly grateful for the trust our communities place in us to provide compassionate, high-quality care right in the comfort of their own home, because there is truly no better place to heal,” Ewoldt says. “Our dedicated team is passionate about helping patients feel confident, supported, and empowered as they work toward their personal health goals.”
The rankings are based on federal data collected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, including measures such as how quickly care begins, patient outcomes, and rates of preventable hospitalizations. Patient surveys are also factored into the final ratings.
Ewoldt says home health services play a key role in helping patients recover and maintain independence.
“As a proud part of the Orange City Area Health System team, our home health staff provides seamless, coordinated care, from hospital recovery to managing chronic conditions and regaining independence at home,” Ewoldt says. “Our staff is honored to walk alongside our patients in every stage of their journey.”
U.S. News & World Report says the new rankings are intended to provide clear, data-driven information to help consumers make informed health care decisions.
