Two men have been charged following a fight last month inside the Train Station bar in Alton.
According to court records, 33-year-old Adrian Rivera-Briones of Hull is charged with Assault Causing Serious Injury, a felony. 37-year-old Lance Kyle Mars of Alton is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Authorities say the incident happened on February 7th shortly after 10 p.m.
Court documents state Rivera-Briones was asked to leave the bar by the owner, but did not. Mars reportedly stepped in to assist the owner. Witnesses told authorities there was mutual pushing that escalated into a fight, with the two men tackling each other into the kitchen area and exchanging punches.
Mars suffered a fractured nose requiring surgery, along with lacerations to the back of his head. Rivera-Briones was reported to have visible bruising on his arm.
Both men were arrested on February 26th by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Rivera-Briones later posted a $5,000 bond through a bondsman. Mars posted a $1,000 cash bond. Both cases remain pending in Sioux County District Court.
