Two people were injured in a UTV accident on Wednesday, south of Sioux Center. The Sioux County Sheriff’s office says that the accident happened around 9pm, in a beant field near the intersection of 420th Street and Harrison Avenue, one mile South of Sioux Center.
16 year old Lane Waddle of Sioux Center, was driving a UTV in the field. Waddle reported his vison was obscured by dust and low light conditions when he entered a ravine, lost control of the vehicle, and rolled.
Lane reported minor injuries; a passenger in the vehicle was transported by Sioux Center Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of serious injuries.
The UTV sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Fire Department and Sioux Center Ambulance.
