Sioux Center was buzzing with excitement on Saturday evening (April 19), as Vi Bella, a nonprofit supporting artisans in Haiti and Mexico, hosted its spectacular fundraiser, “The Domino Effect,” at the Sioux Center High School gym. The highlight of the evening was a breathtaking domino artistry performance by Derek and Alex Koops, twin brothers renowned for their appearances on “Domino Masters” and “America’s Got Talent.”
Using an astounding 25,000 dominoes, the Koops brothers, also known as DaksDominoes, constructed one of their largest builds to date—a masterpiece that took them three days to construct. Known for their creative designs, the brothers have showcased their talent across the United States and even in Paris. Fans can also look forward to another upcoming event in Baltimore, promising yet another incredible display of artistry.
Beyond the entertainment, the event carried a powerful purpose. Vi Bella, dedicated to providing sustainable jobs and crafting handmade goods, raised funds to continue its impactful work. Julie Hulstein, Vi Bella’s founder and CEO, shared the event’s inspirational theme—the idea that, like a single domino drop, small actions can spark significant changes.
The event was presented by Pizza Ranch, with Adrie Groeneweg, the restaurant chain’s founder and president, emphasizing their mission to impact the world for God. Community members enjoyed raffle to determine who pushed the first domino of the topple, domino playtime, and a Vi Bella pop-up shop, all while embracing the evening’s message of hope and collective impact.
