The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that injured a teen Friday night in Hull.
It happened around 9:49 p.m. at the intersection of Division Street and 9th Street. According to authorities, a 16-year-old male was driving southbound on Division Street and attempted to pass another southbound vehicle, driven by a 16-year-old female, as she was making a left turn onto 9th Street. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
The female driver was transported by Hull Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of injuries. Total damage to the vehicles is estimated at $23,000.
Speed is believed to be a factor, and the crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
