Yesterday the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office charged 40-year-old Benjamin Allan Pry of Sioux City, an inmate in the Sioux County jail. The charges stem from an incident in which correctional officers located evidence that Pry used and damaged items to start a fire inside his cell. Pry remains in custody at the Sioux County Jail and has been additionally charged with Reckless Use of Fire, a Serious Misdemeanor, and Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree, a Simple Misdemeanor. Pry is in jail for a third offense of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked.
