Christmas may be over, but for many families, the challenge is just beginning — keeping kids busy while they’re home from school.
If you’re hearing the familiar phrase, “Mom, I’m bored,” Sioux County Conservation says they have some ideas to help.
Naturalist Emily Ostrander says the days after Christmas can be a great time for families to get outside and try something new through the county’s upcoming programs.
Ostrander may sound familiar to some listeners. She previously worked for Lyon County Conservation before taking her new position with Sioux County this past summer.
She says the programming doesn’t stop once students head back to school, with several activities scheduled in the coming weeks.
