The City of Sioux Center will begin tornado siren testing the first Friday of each month starting this Friday. Storm sirens will be activated at 10am.
This testing helps keep Sioux Center residents prepared for severe weather. If the tornado warning siren sounds in severe weather, everyone should cover immediately.
Monthly tornado warning siren tests will continue the first Friday of each month from April through September in Sioux Center, however, if there is threatening weather on a test day, the siren will not be tested.
