A Sioux Center man was injured after experiencing a medical event that led to a single-vehicle crash east of Sioux Center last week.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, deputies investigated the crash at about 7:58 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, on Hickory Avenue, approximately one mile east of Sioux Center.
Authorities say 38-year-old Logan Rus of Sioux Center was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Hickory Avenue when he experienced a medical event. The pickup entered the west ditch and struck a field driveway.
Rus suffered minor injuries and was transported by Sioux Center Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment.
The Chevrolet Silverado sustained an estimated $7,000 in damage.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Sioux Center Ambulance, the Sioux Center Fire Department, and the Sioux Center Police Department.
