A Rock Valley woman was injured in a rollover crash Tuesday morning in Sioux County.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 8:33 a.m. on Garfield Avenue, about five miles southeast of Rock Valley.
Authorities say a 2008 Ford F-150 driven southbound by 50-year-old Alvaro Figueroa-Ramon of Rock Valley lost control on the icy roadway, entered the east ditch, and rolled onto its side.
Figueroa-Ramon reported no injuries at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, 54-year-old Claudia Figueroa-Ramon of Rock Valley, was injured and transported by Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Health Center for treatment.
The pickup sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage. Figueroa-Ramon was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Rock Valley Fire Department and Rock Valley Ambulance.
