A Rock Valley resident was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital after a house fire on Friday.
The Rock Valley Fire Department says they were called to the scene on 15th Street, in Rock Valley at about 2:15 p.m.
When authorities arrived, the house was already fully engulfed in flames, and a resident was trapped in a second level bedroom. Officers were able to catch the resident as he fell from a second-story window.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took the occupant to Hegg Health Center, and they were later flown to Sanford Health in Sioux Falls.
The fire remains under investigation by the Rock Valley Fire Chief and Iowa State Fire Marshal.
