Northwest Financial Corporation (Northwest Bank) is once again being recognized on the national stage.
The company has been named a 2026 Top Workplace USA, marking the 11th consecutive year it has earned the honor.
Employee Feedback Drives Recognition
The award is based entirely on employee feedback collected through a confidential survey, focusing on workplace culture, leadership, and overall satisfaction.
Regional President Eric Walhof says the recognition reflects what employees are saying about the organization.
Walhof says those responses consistently rank Northwest Bank highly in areas that matter most to employees, including leadership, opportunity, and community impact.
Competitive Hiring Advantage
Walhof says recognition like this matters even more in a competitive hiring environment, especially in northwest Iowa.
He says the feedback helps the company evaluate how well it supports employees, from onboarding to long-term career growth.
Walhof adds that the focus is not just on hiring, but on retention and development.
Consistent Recognition
This is not the only recent recognition for the company.
In September 2025, Northwest Financial Corporation was also named one of the Des Moines Register’s Top Workplaces for 2025, based on similar confidential employee surveys measuring culture and engagement.
About the Award
The Top Workplace USA award honors companies with 150 or more employees that demonstrate a strong, people-first culture.
Northwest Financial Corporation is a family-owned organization with approximately 425 employees and locations across Iowa.
