An 18-year-old Mitchell, South Dakota, woman has been arrested in Sioux County on three charges accusing her of sending obscene material to a minor through Snapchat.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Allison Kathleen Berger on Thursday, November 5. Jail records list three counts of telephone dissemination of obscene material to a minor, each an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to criminal complaints filed in Sioux County District Court, Berger is accused of sending three nude photographs of herself to a 14-year-old boy during a Snapchat exchange on or about July 18.
Investigators allege the conversation became sexually explicit before the photographs were sent. The complaints list Granville as the location of the alleged offense.
The complaints were filed August 20. Bond following her arrest was set at $6,000 cash or surety.
