Lester, Iowa — A Larchwood man was taken to the hospital and was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital after a motorcycle accident near Lester on Wednesday night.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew Alons of Larchwood was riding his motorcycle northbound on Dove Avenue when he lost control and the motorcycle entered the east ditch. Alons was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained major injuries.
The report says the Lyon County Ambulance took Alons to the Avera Rock Rapids Hospital, before he was airlifted to Sioux Falls.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lester Fire and Rescue, Lyon County Ambulance, and Trackside Towing.
