A Hudson, South Dakota woman was arrested early Saturday morning north of Ireton. The arrest of 59-year-old Karla Bohle stemmed from a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Eagle Avenue, three miles north of Ireton.
Bohle was driving a Jeep Wrangler northbound on Eagle Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle, entered the east ditch, and rolled. Bohle was taken to Hawarden Regional Healthcare for treatment of minor injuries. The investigating deputy suspected Bohle was under the influence of alcohol and when she was discharged from the hospital, she was taken to the Sioux County Jail and charged with second offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
Bohle’s Jeep sustained about $8,000 in damage.
