Formosa Food Company Relocating to Sioux Falls

Formosa Food in Hull has its roots back to 1952 on the streets of Taiwan. Today the company is run by the Shih family for the third generation. Heather Shih, Co-owner of Formosa Food, reflects on how her family started the operation in Hull.

Formosa currently has a processing facility in Hull and a kill facility in Sioux Center. While Heather Shih believes these facilities have served their purposes well, they are relocating to a new facility in Sioux Falls in order to better meet the growing demand.

Heather Shih says they hope to keep the same quality and flavor in their products with this new facility.

Formosa mainly sells its products to Asian markets across the US via distributors, and sometimes directly to stores. Near Siouxland, you can find their products in over four Asian markets.
