Feenstra Celebrates Iowa Farmers and Promotes Economic Relief Opportunities

U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) is spotlighting Iowa’s farmers and producers this week with two key announcements. On National Agriculture Day (Tuesday, March 18, 2025), Feenstra expressed gratitude for their dedication to feeding and fueling the nation, emphasizing his commitment to supporting agriculture through initiatives like the five-year Farm Bill, export market expansion, and foreign animal disease prevention. He also highlighted his efforts to lower crop insurance costs for young farmers and permanently repeal the death tax on family farms.

In a related statement, Feenstra encouraged Iowa farmers to apply for $10 billion in economic relief available through the USDA’s Farm Service Agency, a provision of the American Relief Act he supported last December. Producers can apply for relief at their local FSA office or online at fsa.usda.gov/ecap. Applications are open until August 15th, and Feenstra’s office is available to assist farmers with the process.

Feenstra remains committed to advocating for Iowa’s agricultural community, ensuring they have the resources and support needed for long-term success. For more information, farmers can visit Feenstra.House.Gov or contact his office at 202-225-4426.
