A Rock Valley man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning near the South Dakota border.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened around 6:11 a.m. on Sunday, May 3rd, on 290th Street, about two miles west of Fairview.
Authorities say 21-year-old Saudin Garcia Molina was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch.
Garcia Molina sustained minor injuries in the crash. He was transported by Canton Ambulance to Sanford Canton-Inwood Medical Center for treatment.
The Hyundai sustained an estimated $9,000 in damage.
The accident remains under investigation.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Fairview Fire Department, Canton Ambulance, and the Iowa State Patrol.
