An active, moisture-laden pattern ahead for the Heartland; milder to warmer days for most

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the country.  Colder-than-normal conditions will be largely limited to an area stretching from the Pacific Northwest to the northern High Plains. Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be confined to portions of California, Nevada, and Oregon.
